Law Society Courthouse Event

Staff together with family and friends of the firm, spent an June 2026 evening at the historic Old Court House Law Museum to explore one of Perth’s most significant heritage buildings. The 1836 building symbolises the imposition of the British legal system upon Aboriginal peoples who practiced, and continue to practice, their own established systems of law.

As the oldest surviving public building in Perth, the museum offers incredible insight into the early legal history of Western Australia and the development of our justice system. Walking through the courtrooms and exhibits was a reminder of how much the legal profession has evolved, while also recognising the importance of preserving the stories, people and institutions that helped shape our state.

It was especially meaningful to see younger generations engaging with the history of the law and learning about the role courts and legal professionals have played in the community over time.

A wonderful experience for all involved. Brand are proud to be champion donors of the Old Court House Law Museum.
